Recording and Mixing

As it has been mentioned in previous post due to building work at the university we have been unable to access the base room with the Powermacs in that have the copy of Soundtrack Pro 2 so I started looking around to see if any other software allows for 5.1 surround sound.

While looking around I came across a few different blog post and forums saying CS3 had a plug in to support 5.1 audio channels that make a lot of sense as Premier dose allow for multiple audio channel although as it seem to require getting a plug in and still the need to attach a surround speaker system making the whole process that bit more complicated, although I did come across the video below which talks about using CS4 Premier Pro to do the same thing but without the need for a plug-in.

The problem comes when I have CS4 but I don’t have a set of surround sound speakers easily avaliable to me or a garrente my mac support that speaker set up as none of the help files I have read so far have anything clearly stating confirmation of surround sound 5.1 or higher being avalible, also as my mac only has one audio out point I would need to carefully invest in speakers myself.
